OUR PRINCIPLES FOR
MASJID NURAL ISSLAAH
Allah
created humankind with great diversity in languages, races, tastes and
temperaments. And because of this
diversity, no one should be looked down upon as only one particular aspect of a
human being. Nor should Muslims seek to use our created attributes to divide by differences—such thinking
degrades Allah creation.
Instead, believers of the Books should seek out our similarities as Muslims. It is upon this uniformity in understanding the diversity of Islam, seeing our differences as a blessing and not as a hindrance, helps us to become more faithful Muslims in our actions and deeds, a more realistic goal.
We believe there is no compulsion in religion and our prayer space is open to those who come to worship together for the sake of Allah. Our Friday prayer service is open to all, and we pray in a communal format, very similar to how believers pray in Mecca at the Kabah, and men and women share in the prayer services by calling adan and leading prayers.
We
hold monthly halaqas that meet on the third Monday of each month for Quran
studies. You are welcome to attend at
your convenience.
As the Light of Reformation Mosque expands its outreach to Muslims of all backgrounds, that are located in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area and beyond, please feel free to contact us by phone, email, our MPV Meet-Up or look for us on FaceBook for further information.
May Allah continue to guide and bless us all, Ameen.
